Roy Wilkins

Roy Wilkins served as the National Executive Director of the NAACP from 1955-1977.

Under Wilkinsí direction during the turbulent Civil Rights era, the NAACP investigated brutality, murder, segregation, discrimination and fought to end the suppression of minority voters at the polls.
